Susan L. DeCoursey

Spillertown- Susan L. DeCoursey, age 53, of Spillertown, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Susan was born in Watseka on August 11, 1960, the daughter of Lonnie and Mary (Rhoades) Houseright. She married Garrett DeCoursey in Herrin on February 22, 1993. He survives. Mrs. DeCoursey was a member of the White Ash Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Fellowship of Christians and Jews. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband- Garrett DeCoursey of Spillertown Three children- Josh Foster of Spillertown Brett Blankenship of Texas Todd Brandon DeCoursey of Jacksonville, FL Two brothers- David Houseright of Marion Joseph Houseright of St. Louis, MO One sister- Pamela Welch of Cancun, Mexico Special Friends- Crystal Culp of Carbondale Valerie Hudgens Burton of Marion Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Wayne Gardner officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:30pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
