T. Vivian Kaffenberger

Herrin- Thelma Vivian Kaffenberger, 83, of Herrin, passed away at 11:35 PM, Friday, July 20, 2007 at her home. Vivian was bon on October 1, 1923 in Herrin to Edward & Nell (Stewart) Taylor. She married Charles Chick Kaffenberger on September 20, 1965 in Carmi, IL. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2006. Vivian was a longtime waitress and bartender at the Bull Pen Lounge in Herrin. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: Grandson- Dustin Pendall & wife Melinda of Collinsville, IL Great Grandchildren- Zena, Gwendolyn & Caitlyn Pendall of Collinsville Sister & brother in law- Jane & Laverne Griffith of Energy Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Zena Ann Sullivan, brothers- James Edward, Orville W. & Robert Taylor, and sisters- Zena Kelley, Esther Connell & Hazel Johnson. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Fr. Daniel Friedman will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations are suggested to OLMC/ Education Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
