Ted W. Harris

Herrin- Theodore W. Ted Harris, 44, of Herrin, passed away at 7:39 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2008 at his home. Theodore was born on April 22, 1964 in Cleveland, OH to Theodore William & Loudean (Taylor) Harris. He formerly worked as a cook at Cardinal Health Care in Energy & Thorntons Market in Herrin. He was of protestant faith. Ted enjoyed cooking for his friends and family as well as singing and dancing. He liked the outdoors and spent time fishing and camping and doing things for the people he cared about. Survivors include- Mother- Loudean Gee of Herrin Father- Theodore William Harris of Ohio Daughter- Cheyenne Harris of Johnston City Sister- Kimberly Harris of Herrin Sister & brother in law- Deborah & Keith Brewer of Marion Sister- Tina Holt of Herrin Step father- Jerry Switzer of Golconda Brother- Michael Harris of Herrin Several nieces & nephews, aunts and uncles He was preceded in death by his grandparents- M. Chester & Hazel Taylor & Ted & Alice Harris. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home 201 S. 13th St/ Herrin, IL 62948.
