Herrin- Teressa Terri Rodgers, age 56, of Herrin, passed away at 11:55pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at her mothers residence in Herrin surrounded by her family.
Teressa was born in Marion on March 27, 1955, the daughter of Allen Rodgers and Helen (Ridings) Boyd.
Ms. Rodgers was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for Chamness Care Inc. at Sunshine House. She loved Sunshine House and often said I wouldnt think it would be anything but sunny today. She also worked twenty-six years at Mattingly Healthcare. Terri loved taking care of others. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids. She loved going to yard sales with her mother. Teressa was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father- Allen Rodgers and her grandparents- Fred and Ethel Ridings and Eltie and Sally Rodgers.
A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
