Terry Laurence Mandrell, 56, passed away at St. Louis University Hospital Thursday morning January 9, 2003. Funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion on Monday, January 13, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Don Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Poordo. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis Shriners Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Terry was born on January 2, 1947 in Williamson County to Roy and Marguerite (Dorsett) Mandrell; they both preceded him in death. He married Sharon Stephenson on March 14, 1965 at Plumville Baptist Church, she survives him. Survivors include: Wife: Sharon Mandrell-Marion Son: Christopher T. Mandrell-Marion Daughter: Lisa Mandrell-Ventura County, CA. Mother and Father in law: C.M. & Opal Stephenson-Marion, IL. Brother & sis-in-law: Jerry & Carolyn Mandrell-Middletown, IN. Bro-in-law & sis-in-law: Don & Sherry Stephenson-Pittsburg Bro-in-law & sis-in-law: Charles & Judy Stephenson-Marion Bro-in-law & sis-in-law: Dale & Philecia Stephenson-Marion Sister: Rosemary Edwards-Dixon Sister & bro-in-law: Audrey & Bill Buttry-Middletown, IN Sister & bro-in-law: Myrna & Paul Coffey-Cottonwood, AZ Sister & bro-in-law: Barbara & Ovie Edwards-Carrier Mills Several Nieces & Nephews Terry was the vice-president of Howell Paving in Mattoon, IL. He was a licensed Engineer in Illinois and Florida. He was the vice-president of General Contractors of Centralia, IL. And vice-president of Wabash Asphalt of Mt. Carmel, IL. Terry Served on the Board of Directors of A.G.C. of Illinois and Director of Highway District #7, and was past chairman of Joint COOP Committee on Aeronautics. He was a member of Saline Masonic Lodge #339 A.F. & A.M. and OPDIKE Jefferson County Lodge #368 A.F. & A.M., Consistory of Belleville and Ainad Temple of East St. Louis.
