Terry Lee Crowell

Freeman Spur- Terry Lee Crowell, age 72, of Freeman Spur, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Herrin Hospital.

Terry was born in Herrin on October 2, 1948, the son of Lloyd and Ruby Mae (Leehy) Crowell. He married Mary Monica Queen in Mulkeytown on March 20, 1976. She survives.

Terry had worked as a boat builder. He was a member of the Herrin American Legion and had proudly served in the United States Army.

Daughter- Laura Watson-Crowell of Mcleansboro

Son- Michael Bean of Herrin

Daughter- Michelle Penny-Crowell of Marion

Son- Terry Crowell, Jr. of Creal Springs

Daughter- Jennifer Crowell of Marion

Daughter- Valerie Blake-Crowell of Valier

Many grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved dearly

Five sisters- Juanita Hamilton of Herrin

     Janice Border of Herrin

     Sue Copher of Marion

     Phyllis Nelson of Herrin

     Karen Spiller of Herrin

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Ray Crowell and Gene Hamilton, and one sister- Joyce Watson.

Memorial services will be held at 6pm on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4 to 6pm on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the funeral home.
