Terry M. Pennell

Marion- TERRY MICHAEL PENNELL, age 56, of Marion, passed away at10:33am on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Terry was born in Eldorado on October 12, 1953, the son of Thurman E. (Jarg) and Veldene D. (Dutton) Pennell. He married Glenda J. Jearlds in Carbondale on August 8, 1981. She survives in Marion. Mr. Pennell was a member of the Community Chapel Church of Marion. He worked maintenance at Southern Illinois Healthcare from 1981-1984. Terry loved spending time with his granddaughter and was very interested in trucks. He enjoyed doing word searches and watching cooking shows, even though he didnt cook. Survivors include his wife- Glenda J. Pennell of Marion, IL Son- Robert Michael and Jennifer Pennell of Marion, IL Granddaughter- Katie Pennell of Marion, IL Mother- Veldene Pennell-Jerrells of Cave-In-Rock, IL Mother-In-Law- Midge Jearlds of Marion, Il Two brothers- Larry and Janice Pennell of Mt Carmel, IL Stan and Nancy Pennell of Cave-In-Rock, IL Three nieces- Jennifer Pennell and Lisa Rice of North Carolina Lindsey Pennell of Cave-In-Rock, IL Step-sister- Ramona and John Douglas of Columbus, Ohio Three Step-Brothers- Joe and Sandy Jerrells of Cave-In-Rock, IL Bob and Debbie Jerrells of OFallon, IL Bill and Elaine Jerrells of Harrisburg, IL Several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Thurman Jarg Pennell, step-father Esdon Jerrells, his grandparents, and his father-in-law Aseugene Asie Jearlds. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Tim Jearlds and Stanley Pennell officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
