Terry Tanner

Crab Orchard Terry P. Tanner, 63, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 1:03 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Terry was born January 14, 1943 to Paul and Jewell (McGuire) Tanner in Williamson County. He married Loretta Richey on July 27, 1962 at Coal Bank and together they have shared over 43 years of marriage. She survives in Crab Orchard. Terry proudly answered the call to serve his nation in the Vietnam War. He was a retired coal miner, of the Baptist Faith. Terry was a member of UMW of A #2420, Marion VFW Post #1301 and S.R.R. Raceway. Terry is survived by: His Wife Loretta of Crab Orchard Mother Jewell Tanner of Marion Son Christopher Shawn Tanner of Marion Two Grandchildren; Christopher Lane Tanner Shana Maria Tanner Sister Doris Odum and husband Dewey of Creal Springs Preceded by His Father Funeral services will be Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Matt Troxel officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with military rites performed by Marions VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
