Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home Full Obituary Herrin- Thelma Larwinski, age 77, of Herrin, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at her home in Herrin. Thelma was born in Herrin on April 4, 1932, the daughter of the Netter and Flora Mae (Jurgan) English. She married Mike Larwinski, Jr. in Royalton on October 8, 1955. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2002. Mrs. Larwinski was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter- Netta Adams of Herrin, IL Son- Mark Larwinski of New Baden, IL Two Grandchildren- Colter Lee Adams of Marion, IL Nicole Lynn Larwinski of New Baden, IL Brother- Bill and Betty English of Seattle, WA Three sisters- Gloria and Daniel Schiff of Johnston City, IL Delores Wilson of New Athens, IL Margaret Schimtling of Belleville, IL Several nieces and nephews Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers- Harvey and James English. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Saturday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
