Thelma Nosotti

Herrin- THELMA NOSOTTI, age 86, of Herrin, passed away at 11:35am on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her home in Herrin. Thelma was born in Cambria on September 25, 1923, the daughter of L.F. and Alta (Fletcher) Thomas. She married Ambrose Nosotti in Herrin. He preceded her in death in March of 1973. Thelma was the eldest of five living generations. Having served as a Past President of the Herrin Eagles Auxiliary, she was also a member of the Herrin American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. She worked at Allen Industries and was a waitress at the Herrin Eagles and KC Hall. Thelma also was a home care worker. Survivors include her four daughters- Judy and Glen Leeper of Herrin, IL Linda and Audie Rains of Johnston City, IL Regina Smith of Harrisburg, IL Latisa Woodis of Herrin, IL 13 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren Nephew- Lon Dixon Nieces- Betty Dixon, Susan Dixon, and Janet Burst She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law- Dale Woodis, sister and brother-in-law- Pauline and Wilbert Dixon, two grandsons, and two great grandsons. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with arrangements.
