Thomas John Rester

Marion- THOMAS JOHN RESTER, age 60, of Marion, passed away at 6:40am on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Thomas was born in Brownsville, PA on December 21, 1949, the son of John and Mary (Dankovich) Rester. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. Survivors include his son- Aron Rester of Marion, IL Daughter- Alisha Rester of Marion, IL Son- Anson Rester of Johnston City, IL Former Wife- Joni Rester of Johnston City, IL Brother- David Rester of Coulterville, IL Numerous nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, his son- Anthony Ryan Rester, sister- Mary Langan, and an infant brother- Ronald Charles Rester. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11am on Monday at the funeral home.
