Timothy M. Barnfield

Timothy Michael Barnfield, age 35, died at home in St. Charles, Illinois on Saturday, May 5, 2001. Visitation was on Thursday, May 10th from 5-9 P.M. and services were at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 11th at Mitchell-Hughes funeral home in Marion, with Rev. Jim Slone officiating. Interment followed in Benton Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Barnfield Childrens Educational Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Tim is the son of Charles Lindy Barnfield and Kaye Reed & Charles E. Howell. Tim was born on April 4, 1966 in Benton, Illinois at Franklin Hospital. He attended elementary schools in Benton and Marion. He was a 1984 graduate of Marion High School, where he played football and baseball, earning three sports letters. He was in the Marion Wildcat Marching Band. He was very fond of coaches Jack Fletcher & Mike Rude and Band Director Phil Eigenmann, who had been his band teacher from 4th grade through high school. He attended John A. Logan College and Southeastern Missouri State University (SEMO). Mr. Barnfield was a technician at BOC Gas Company in Carol Stream, IL. He was a member of the Hazardous Incident Recovery Team (H.I.R.T.) and had trained in Pennsylvania. He attended Baker Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Charles. As a child, he had attended Benton First Baptist Church and Marion Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where he served as acolyte. Mr. Barnfield was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lindy Barnfield. He is survived by: His mother & his stepfather, who raised him.
