Troy E. Russell

Troy E. Russell, age 53, of Marion, died Friday, August 17th, 2001, at 12:04 P.M. at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Friends may call at the Southern Illinois Worship Center, 124 Louann Drive (just off Route 148) in Herrin from 4:30-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 21st. A Memorial Service will begin at 8:00 P.M. officiated by Rev. Elvin Ervin. Memorials for Mr. Russell may be made to the Shop with a Cop program. Mr. Russell was born April 24, 1948 in Saline County, Illinois, to Troy Truman and Lois Hughes Turner Russell. Both parents preceded him in death. He married Joy Hickey on September 6, 1975, in Spillertown. He was a retired coal mine supervisor. He was a member of the Southern Illinois Worship Center and the Southern Illinois Street Machine Association. He is survived by his wife, Joy, and son, Troy Thomas Russell, both of Marion; two daughters, Brandy Jean Williams of Herrin and Tammy Marie Kell of Carterville; three grandchildren, Stevie Rae Williams, Chad Russell Davis, and Sammy Davis; one brother and sister-in-law, John & Tanna Russell of Dallas, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim & Russell Moore of Marion; and his mother and father-in-law, Nancy & Clyde Hickey of Marion.
