Carterville- Una Lee Juvers, 86, of Carterville, passed away at 11:10 AM, Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Herrin Hospital. Una was born on October 7, 1927 in Cobden, IL to Curtis and Leta (Kelly) Smith. She married Bobby E. “Skeeter” Juvers on December 7, 1948 in Clay County, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1998. Una loved and was loved by everyone. She enjoyed travelling to various places, going on picnics and to yard sales and shopping. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Survivors include- Son- Dennis Juvers and wife Nancy of Hurst Daughter- Sandra Biley and husband Larry of Stonefort Daughter- Brenda Hill of Herrin Daughter- Rhonda Lacy and husband Tom of Hurst Nine Grandchildren: Brian Juvers and wife Tammy of Auburndale, FL Kyle Juvers of Columbia, MO Eric Biley and wife Amy of Herrin Tara Bebout of Herrin Trebor Hill and wife Tyra of Marion Heather Ruiz and husband Angel of Burnsville, MN Melissa Harris and husband Matt of Zeigler Levi Lacy and wife Nikki of Hurst Phillip Lacy and wife Kristin of DuQuoin 14 Great-grandchildren Brother- Joe Smith and wife Ann of Bensenville Several nieces and nephews including Linda Dudley of Pittsburg and Chris Spiller of Colp Close friends: Libby Fenton of Carterville Herbie Chapman of Carterville Shirley Tippy of Carterville Jean and Bud Williams of Carterville Linda Kondoudis of Christopher Sister in law and Brother in law- Wanda and George Phillips of Carterville Sister in law and Brother in law- Marlene and Jerry Capps of Romeoville, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother- Curtis Smith, two sisters- Hattie Smith and Jaunita Davie, great grandchild- Madyson Nicole Lacy, close friend- Brenda Chapman and three nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Greg Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
