Vada L. Denham

Tuscola- Vada Lou Denham, 67, of Tuscola, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 5:10 AM, Sunday, March 05, 2006 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Vada was born on December 24, 1938 in Cambria to Charles & Nona (Poole) Pool. She married Willis Eugene Denham on February 19, 1956 in Cambria. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1999. She worked many years designing floral arrangements with her daughter at Sav-Mor Pharmacy. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, sewing, quilting, and floral design. Vada loved animals, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. When she was able she attended Church of the Nazarene in Tuscola. SURVIVORS: Daughter & son in law- Cynthia & Robert Wright- Tuscola Daughter & son in law- Patricia & Ronal Lewis- Tuscola Daughter & son in law- Diana & Daniel Long- Tuscola Seven Grandchildren Three Great Grandchildren Brother & sister in law- Bobby & Glenda Pool- Valier She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters; Minnie Belle Meracle, Nadine Darrigo & Betty Jo Waugh. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Joe Carter will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Lincolnland in Mattoon or the Douglas County Animal Shelter in Tuscola and will be accepted at the funeral home.
