Velma Hunt, age 67, of Marion, IL, died Monday, March 12th at 9:25 a.m. at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Visitation was Thursday, March 15th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion, IL. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marion with Rev. Marlin Otte officiating. Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17th in Beardstown City Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hunt was born November 15, 1933, in Beardstown, Illinois, to Homer and Fae Lida Schneider. She married Glen Hunt on June 14, 1953 in Beardstown. Survivors include the following:

Mrs. Hunt had worked at Tempo, was a licensed real estate salesperson (retired) and she owned and operated Grannys Attic Antique Store. She was a Charter Member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marion. She was also a member of the Marion Garden Club.
