Vicki Johnson

Herrin- VICKI JOHNSON, of Herrin, passed away at 4:50am at her home on Monday, January 30, 2012. Vicki was born in Buscate, Italy, the daughter of Louis and Dorena (Vedilago) Nava. She married Paul Johnson in Piggott, Arkansas in September of 1952. She and Paul were the former owners of Johnson Funeral Home in Herrin. Paul preceded her in death on September 10, 1983. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Vicki served as a past president of the Eagles Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law- Denise and Ed Ponce of St Charles, MO Son- Dennis Johnson of Deltona, FL 3 grandchildren- Christopher Ponce of St Charles, MO Kylan Johnson of Stanford, CT Devin and Autumn Johnson of Bradenton, FL 2 great grandchildren Brother- John Nava of Fenton, MO Several nieces and their husbands Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Paul, brother- Carlos Nava, and sister-in-law- Alice Nava. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson and Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-9pm on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
