Violet M. Hock

Herrin- VIOLET MARIE HOCK, age 84, of Greenville, NC, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 1:00am onFriday, August 17, 2007 at Tar River Manor Nursing Home in Greenville, NC. Violet was born in Cambria, IL on May 9, 1923, the daughter of Charlie and Lillian Robinson. She married Raymond Hock in Jackson, MO on March 5, 1940. Together, they shared fifty-two years of marriage until his death on September 14, 1992. Mrs. Hock was a member of the Herrin First Christian Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law- Beverly and Howard Frisinger of Greenville, NC; her granddaughter- Sherri Nicole Frisinger of Greenville, NC; her grandson- David Frisinger of Lebanon, PA; her sister and brother-in-law- Leta and Olin Collins of Carterville, IL; and her sister-in-law- Waldine Rice of Johnston City, IL. Violet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Raymond, and eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 24, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with the Rev. Ron Henwood officiating. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery.
