Herrin - Virgil H. Loyd, 80, died at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Herrin Hospital. Mr. Loyd was born November 9, l921 in Marion, IL to Hubert Ray and Anna Marie (Myers) Loyd. He married Edith Edwards November 21, 1941 in Johnston City, IL. She survives. He was a member of the Crenshaw Baptist Church and a WWII Veteran of the U. S. Navy. Survivors include His wife - Edith Loyd - Herrin Dtr and son in law - Deloris & Jim Priddy - Herrin Son and dtr in law - Don Robert & Judy Loyd - Little Rock, AR Dtr and son in law - Dorothy Jeanette & Don Cogdill - Herrin Son - Billy Lee Loyd - Las Vega, NV Son - Earl Eugene Loyd - Fort Worth, TX Son - Kenneth Lynn Loyd - Springfield, IL 16 grandchildren 23 great grandchildren 7 great great grandchildren Sister and brother in law - Ethel and Leo Powell- Johnston City, IL His parents, one sister Alice Marie Eigenrauch and one brother Sherman Ray Loyd preceded him in death. Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2002 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy, IL. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn.
