Herrin- VIRGINIA GILES, age 85, of Freeman Spur, passed away at 1:20pm on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Virginia was born in Freeman Spur on November 17, 1927, the daughter of John and Louise (Hopkins) Pate. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery.
