Marion-Virginia P. Howerton, 86, died 1:20 A.M., Sunday, July 14, 2002 at the Benton Healthcare Center in Benton, Illinois Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Victor Long officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Tuesday. Virginia was born July 2, 1916 in Marion to John B. & Nell (Barth) Pillow. Virginia moved to Elgin, Illinois in 1954. She was an executive secretary at the McGraw-Edison Company in Elgin and retired in 1980. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Marion. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include: One Daughter: Annetta Mae (Ann) Marquis and husband Jim of Benton Two sons: James (Lynn) Howerton & wife Donna of Mt. Vernon, IL. William (Mac) Howerton & wife Sharen of Spring, TX. Seven Grandchildren Seven Step Grandchildren Eleven Great Grandchildren Twelve Step Great Grandchildren One Sister: Alice Harrison of Belvidere, IL.
