Vivian C. "Betty" Jarvis

Herrin- Vivian C. Betty Jarvis, 86, of Herrin, passed away at 7:35 AM, Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Herrin Hospital. Vivian was born on December 14, 1921 in Herrin to Andrew & Mary Ann (Solomon) Jarvis. She married Lloyd Sherrard and then Albert Dziavas, both preceded her in death. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Herrin First Methodist Church. Survivors include- Sister- Helen J. Essick of Herrin Niece- Gwen Nofsinger of Energy Niece- Kathy Lee of Milan, TN Nephew- Robert Essick & wife Kimberly of Herrin Nephew- Monte Bruce Moore & wife Julia of Carterville Nephew- Rod Moore & wife Donna of Carterville She was preceded in death by her parents- Andrew Jarvis & Mary Ann (Solomon) Jarvis Moore, her husbands, three sisters- Harriet Pike, Thelma Bradshaw and Vivian Foster, two brothers- Bill & Johnny Moore and one nephew Jerry Allsopp. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Ed Hoke and Dr. Randy Grace will officiate. Burial follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service, Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Herrin First United Methodist Church or Williamson County Programs of Aging and will be accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home/ 201 S. 13th St. / Herrin, IL 62948.
