Vivian O'Neil

Vivian ONeil, 86, of Marion formerly of West Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, January 04, 2012 at 1:30 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Mrs. ONeil was born June 18, 1925 in West Frankfort the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Taylor) Adkins. She married Delbert ONeil in September, 1942 and together they shared over 24 years of marriage until his death on June 15, 1967. She attended Arnold View Baptist Church and she had worked as a cook at nursing homes. Survivors include; Two Daughters; Colene Doss and husband Furnan JR of Crab Orchard Darlene Cooper of Marion Six Grandchildren; Mark Doss of Marion Melinda Ingram and husband Greg of Altoona, Iowa Stephanie Reynolds and husband Brian of Crab Orchard Matthew Doss and wife Carmen of West Frankfort Jennifer Blankenship and husband Shayne of Johnston City Peggy Martin of Benton Seventeen Great Grandchildren; Jonathan, Alijah, River, Camden, Nathan, Kevin, Jayda, Taylor, Dallas, Dovie, Zack, Amanda, Jordan, Samantha, Ashley, Collin and Peyton Two Brothers; Virgil Adkins and wife Liz of Chicago Jim Adkins and wife Kay of Chicago Several nieces and nephews Preceded by her Parents, Husband Delbert ONeil, Two Brothers Otis and Bill Adkins, Two Sisters Clarasee Holman and Maxine Adkins. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Noon at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
