Herrin- WALDON FLOYD PONCHO DAVIS, JR., age 81, of Herrin, passed away at 6:30 am on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the VA Medical Center in Marion, IL.
Waldon was born on April 16, 1925 in Herrin to Floyd Waldon and Tessie (Sizemore) Davis.
Poncho was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Apostolic Church. He was a lifetime member of the Herrin American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Davis was a World War II Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers- Charles Everett Davis and Wally C. Davis, and his sister Viva Lee Payne.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson and Rev. Paul Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery with military rites performed by Herrins American Legion and VFW posts. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, July 17, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
