Wanda Marie Vodak

Wanda Marie Vodak, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 11:35 A.M. at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home. Wanda was born September 11, 1924 the daughter of Ray & Mae (Boles) Newlin. She married Edward Vodak on February 21, 1941 in Jackson, Missouri and together they shared over 64 years of marriage until his death on May 7, 2005. Wanda spent her life caring for her family and her home. She is survived by: Daughter Vicki Loyd of Marion Son - Edward Vodak and wife Catherine of Rosville, MI Four Grandchildren; Phillip Wisecarver of Houston, Texas Steven Wisecarver and wife Camilla of Herrin Jason Vodak and wife Mary of Fraser, MI Matthew Vodak of Roseville Seven Great Grandchildren; Sarah, Abigail and Evan Wisecarver Caitlyn, Matthew, Alyssa & Nicholas Vodak Brother-in-law Bill Thieman of St. Louis, MO Sister-in-law Margaret Johnson and husband Cliff of Arnold, Missouri Several nieces and nephews Preceded by Parents, Husband, Brother, Burl Newlin, Two Sisters, Muriel Booth and Vivian Edwards Graveside services will be Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
