Warren K. Willis

Marion – Warren K. Willis, 78, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his home in Marion. Warren was born September 18, 1937 in Eldorado, the son of Wayne and Fern (King) Willis.  He married Barbara Graham on December 28, 1977 in Brooklyn, Iowa, and together they shared over 32 years of marriage until her death on June 24, 2010. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, proudly serving his country from 1955 – 1958.  He received his Master’s degree from SIU.  Warren formerly worked for the University of Iowa as the Director of Testing, he retired from Banterra Bank, Marketing Dept. He was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion and past President of FCCC.  Warren was an avid golfer and hunter. Survivors include his; Son – Jeffrey W. Willis of Clearwater, FL Daughter – Michelle A. Fowler of Phoenix, AZ Grandchild – Joseph A. Fowler of Grand Junction, CO His first wife and mother of Jeffrey- Mary Taber of Charleston, IL He was preceded in death by his parents, wife – Barbara Willis, and son – Bradley H. Fowler. Memorial services will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Tim Ozment officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Monday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Brooklyn, Iowa.
