Wendell Brock

Marion Wendell Brock, 87, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at 5:05 P.M. at the VA Medical Center. Mr. Brock was born July 19, 1918 to Link & Grace (McBride) Brock in Carterville. He married Barbara Adams on July 2, 1990 in Mayfield, Kentucky. She survives in Marion. Mr. Brock served in the US Navy for 20 years where he retired as a Photographer Chief. He worked at Pt. Mugu Naval Base where he made training films in California. He was a member of United Disciples of Christ Christian Church of Marion and Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rites, Valley of Ventura, Oxnard, California. Survivors include: Wife Barbara of Marion Daughter Patricia Ann Brock of South Dakota Step-sons: Steven Smith and wife Roberta of Colona, Illinois Brian Smith and wife Kim of Prophetstown, Illinois Preceded by: Parents, Brother Russell Brock, Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law Kathryn & Joe Stevens Funeral services will be Monday, August 29, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
