William A. Horn, 78, of Roanoke, Virginia formerly of Creal Springs, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
William was born June 28, 1932 in Creal Springs the son of Louis D. & Ethel (Tanner) Horn. He married Norma Hastings on August 30, 1955 in Murphysboro and together they have shared over 55 years of marriage.
He was a veteran, he proudly served his county in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Plumber & Pipefitters Local #501 and lifetime member of the American Legion. William retired from Midwestern Contractors where he was a welder on a pipeline.

Preceded by Parents, Daughter Rebecca Jane Horn, Brother Valdene Horn
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 2 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
