Herrin- William V. Bill Miller, 52, of Herrin died at 3:40 AM, Thursday, July 10, 2003, after succumbing to a long and well fought battle with cancer, at his home with his family.
Bill was born on June 14, 1951 in Herrin to James Vernon & Violet K. (Bizzel) Miller. He married Kaye Winkler on March 21, 1970 at the First Baptist Church in Herrin. They were married for 33 years.
He owned and operated Millers Plumbing in Herrin for twenty-five years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Herrin, the Herrin Elks, Plumbers and Pipe fitters Union #551, and was President of the Herrin Teen Town for a number of years.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Paul Tirey will officiate.
