Carterville- WILLIAM D. CONNER, age 46, of Carterville, passed away at 2:10am on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. William was born on July 12, 1960 in Robeson County, North Carolina to Josephine (Dowless) and Roy Conner Sr. He married Toni Childress in Bladenboro, NC on July 10, 1981. She survives in Carterville. Survivors include his wife- Toni (Childress) Conner of Carterville, IL; a daughter- Marinda Riecan of Carterville, IL; and his mother- Josephine Conner of Bladenboro, NC. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held at a later date in North Carolina. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is handling funeral arrangements.
