Marion- WILLIAM E. CRAIG, age 70, of Marion, passed away at 3:45pm on Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home in Marion. William was born in Goreville on August 15, 1940, the son of Dowell and Gertrude (Lamphere) Craig. He married Mary Snider at Pulleys Mill on July 31, 1959. Together, they have shared fifty-one years of marriage. Mary survives in Marion. Bill worked as an auto body repairman and mechanic. Survivors include his wife- Mary Craig of Marion, IL Son- Tony Craig of Marion, IL Son- Ron Craig of Carterville, IL Daughter- Dianne Perry of Carrier Mills, IL Daughter- Bobbie Jo and Tom Wink of Christopher, IL Daughter- Beth Ann Marks of Carterville, IL Son- Scott Craig of Cambria, IL 14 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren 2 brothers- Frankie Joe and Carolyn Craig of Pittsburg, IL Bob and Jeannie Craig of Marion, IL 3 sisters- Delores and Kenny Roberts of Texas Cora and Dale Baker of Marion, IL Janie and Allen Lacey of Marion, IL Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his son- Dennis Craig, two granddaughters- Jessica and Ashley Perry, brother- Steve Craig, and two sisters- Wanda Collins and Dianne Craig. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Oral Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
