Herrin- WILLIAM E. SNYDER, age 82, of Herrin, passed away at 6:40am on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Parkway Manor in Marion.
William was born in Marion on December 10, 1925, the son of Elmer Otto and Jessie Mae (Dungey) Snyder. He married Mary Louise Moroni in Herrin on August 3, 1946. They shared fifty-eight years of marriage. She preceded him in death on May 31, 2005.
Mr. Snyder was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. He was a World War II Army Veteran and was honored with a Bronze Star. Having been a licensed Civil Engineer, he was the owner of Snyder Construction from 1960-1975.

Katherine Louise Clark of Wheaton, IL
Gabriel Stephen Piper of Chicago, IL
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife- Mary Louise.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery with military rites performed at graveside by Herrins American Legion and VFW Posts. Visitation will be held from 9:30am until the time of the service at the funeral home on Monday.
