William R. "Bill" Wade

November 13, 1939 — May 21, 2015

William R. “Bill” Wade, 75, of Carterville, formerly of Herrin, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 1:43 pm at Herrin Hospital.  Bill was born November 13, 1939 in Herrin the son of Donald and Josephine (Lattuada) Wade.  He married Celeste Studer on July 11, 1961 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Johnston City and together they shared over 51 years of marriage until her death on January 19, 2013.  He was a retired coal miner.  Bill was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Pigeon Inn and Knights of Columbus.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and U of I basketball.  Later in life his biggest joy was sitting on his porch enjoying the weather and his pond.  Survivors include his;Son – Marc William Wade (Debra) of Carterville Son – Scott Andrew Wade (Marsha) of Carterville Daughter – Jobie Moore of Shreveport, LA Eight grandchildren;   Shane Wade (Andrea) of Crab Orchard   Sean Wade (Jennifer) of Herrin   Miranda Malone (Josh) of Marion   Mickenzie Devening (Korey) of Herrin   Dakota Wade (Fiancé’ Amber Mocaby) of Carterville   Crayton Moore of Shreveport, LA   Colton Moore of Shreveport, LA   Callie Moore of Shreveport, LA Five great grandchildren;   Conner, Hudson, Preston, Jackson and Olivia Brother – Harry Dean Wade (Ann) of Energy  Numerous nieces and nephews Proceeded by his Parents and Wife – Celeste.  Memorial services will be Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 3 pm at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home, 201 South 13th Street, Herrin, Illinois.
