Wilma Dell Springs

Marion-WILMA DELL SPRINGS, age 85, of Marion, passed away at 3:20am on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Wilma was born in Mount Vernon on May 21, 1924, the daughter of Fred and Agnes (Musgrave) Peyton. She married James Carlynn Springs on August 18, 1942 in Mt Vernon. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2009. Mrs. Springs was a member of the Third Baptist Church in Marion. She was the retired school teacher, having taught at Ina Trico, Warsaw, and North Green at White Hall. Survivors include her three Daughters- Dr. Lynn and Ron Ward of Marion, IL Beth and Clyde Miller of Springfield, IL Anne and Doug Nagel of Taylorville,IL Nine Grandchildren- David and Tamara Burch of Marietta, GA Debbie Emerson of Castle Rock, CO Amanda and Joe Orbin of Ferguson, MO Eric Miller of Mukilteo, WA Heather and Andy Kolton of Vernon Hills, IL Megan Miller of Springfield, IL Erin Nagel of Lake in the Hills, IL Shannon and Jason Morreale of Carpentersville, IL Kerry Nagel of Bllomington, IL Eleven Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers- Kenneth and Fred Peyton, Jr., and two sisters- Ellen Evelyn Harrison and Louise Peyton. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Larry Shacklee officiating. Burial will follow at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11-1:30pm on Saturday at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
