Yuba A. McDonald

Marion Yuba A. McDonald, age 75, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at the home of her daughter. Yuba was born in Williamson County on August 7, 1935, the daughter of John and Jewell (Chitwood) Dobbins. She married Robert McDonald in Johnston City on July 14, 1956. Together, they shared twenty-six years of marriage until his passing on January 2, 1983. Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Bonita Springs, FL Eagles Club and the Eastern Star. She was retired from the Williamson County Highway Department. Survivors include her son- Joe Pasetti of Dallas, TX Daughter- Yuba D. Hunt of Marion, IL Grandson- Logan Hunt of marion, IL Sister-in-law- Doris Dobbins of Johnston City, IL Several nieces, nephews, and cousins She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter- Mackenzie Hunt, two brothers- Verlyn Bozo Dobbins and John Edward Dobbins. Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Stevens officiating. Inurnment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or a Charity of the Donors Choice.
