Zachary Michael Strang

Marion- Zachary Michael Strang, 20, of Marion, died at 7:20 PM, Friday, February 13, 2009 at his home. Zachary was born on April 3, 1988 in Carbondale to Becky Rhine & the late Michael Strang. He was a student at John A. Logan College in Carterville and a member of Community of Christ Church. Zack loved going to NASCAR races with his Uncle Mitch and aunt Tatia, duck hunting with his Uncle Mark and friends and turkey hunting with Gordon and Keith. He also enjoyed spending time with his special friend; Jordin. He truly loved his family, especially playing with his sisters; Karris and Jordyn and cousins; Jesse & Josie. Survivors include- Mother & step father- Becky & Keith Rhine of Marion Sisters- Karris & Jordyn Rhine of Marion Maternal grandmother- Barbara Patton & husband David of Cambria Paternal grandmother- Judy Strang of Marion Step grandparents- Gordon & Sue Ella Rhine of Marion Step grandmother- Sue Boyt of Marion Great Grandmother- Marguerite Bain of Marion Great Grandmother- Vida Boyt of Carterville Great Grandmother- Betty Waters of Marion Aunt- Beressa Barnett & husband Steve of Sikeston, MO Uncle- Doug Boyt & wife Jama of Kansas City, KS Aunt- Kyla Hafely & husband Scott of Marion Uncle- Mitch Strang & wife Tatia of Marion Aunt- Michelle Roberts & husband Mark of Marion Several cousins He was preceded in death by his father- Michael Strang, paternal grandfather- Tom Strang & maternal grandfather- Bob Boyt. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 16, 2009 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Elder Rick Forth, Elder Richard Switzer, Elder Gordon Rhine & Elder Gordon Lambert will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
